Musician and multidisciplinary artist, Sibylle Denis Touat graduated from the College of New Rochelle's School of Fine Arts in New York. She began her career in the workshops of eminent Haitian artists and drew much of her inspiration from the Port-au-Prince Art Center, where she absorbed the passion of its talented devotees for painting, sculpture and pottery.

 

Sibylle has always enjoyed exploring a wide range of artistic techniques to express her creativity. In the realm of music, she stands out for her practice and teaching of piano and digital keyboards, having developed innovative teaching methods for children. In visual arts, she continually reinvents herself in new techniques of painting, sculpture, ceramics, textile design, as well as in the creation of jewellery and fashion accessories.

Her creations grace the collections of notable figures like American actress Angelina Jolie, former Vice President of the Dominican Republic Margarita Cedeño, fashion designer Donna Karan, or American actress Kim Kardashian. Sibylle is also the author of the book: "Micheline Laudun Denis, Music Life and Passions."

 

She is the president of the Culturama Foundation and the founder of Haiti Design, both dedicated to promoting artists, musicians, artisans, and designers from her country.

 

In December 2023, she published the first edition of her new book "HAITI, Dream Creators”, a unique directory of her country’s creative know-how featuring the designers and artisans of Haiti. This beautiful and enlightening book is now available to order.
